De Grote Pyr (The Great Pyr) is a former school building on the Waldeck Pyrmontkade in the Zeeheldenkwartier of The Hague. It is on the corner of the Elandstraat. Since 2002 it is a residential and industrial building with 25 homes and 15 businesses.
The school was built in 1907 by city architect A. Schadee, a student of HP Berlage and was intended for the Hoogere Burgerschool as still can be seen on the facade. Later it became a girl school, MEAO and was offered as alternative living and working space for residents of de Blauwe Aanslag, a squated tax office.
